Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy, any information you give us will not be disclosed or shared with any third parties unless either we are required to by law, or you request us to, for example; sending a third party a product you've purchased for them. Or because it directly contributes to the service in which the customer is expecting, for example; arranging shipping of your order, or subscribing to an update list (more information below).
We collect information about you for two reasons: to process your order, and to provide you with the best possible service. We will collect personal information that will let us specify who you are. For instance your name, billing address, email address and telephone number. This will allow us to fulfil our customer orders and arrange tax payments where necessary.
We do not record or retain any credit or debit card details you give us, payments taken over the internet are handled by a secure payment method provided by Stripe (www.stripe.com). your credit card details are never in our possession.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site as well as facilitating the shop. This can include using a "cookie" which will be stored on your browser. You can modify your browser to prevent this happening, but may prevent services on the site from working such as the cart.
When you provide us with your email and name you will be able to receive communications from us regarding our latest products, special offers, etc. We don't like spam either and these e-mails will only be few and far between. If you wish to opt out of our email or from receiving any of our marketing please inform us by using the contact form, and every e-mail will include an unsubscribe link. If you do however we will no longer be able to alert you to any special offers promotions, or new products and service. We use Mail Chimp and Squarespace to make these e-mails manageable both companies have a good record for managing spam e-mails and making sure that we aren't sending you unwanted mail.
GDPR and your data.
Your data: If you wish to see what information we hold on you please get in touch via the contact form and we will gladly send you copies of all the information we hold once we verify your identity. We aim to complete requests with 30 days to comply with the GDPR ruling.
Notification of a data breach. We will notify you within 72 hours of first having become aware of any breach that might have affected your data. We will also notify the controllers without undue delay after first becoming aware of a data breach.
Our Suppliers and what we share. These are some of the 3rd parties we might pass data on to that allow us to provide our service, as well as what we need to supply them with, and why.
DHL - To ship your order we need to supply your name, address, email address and phone number to arrange international shipments and to complete customs forms as well as track our orders.
MailChimp - to manage our mailing lists. If you want to opt out at any moment please get in touch and we will do so immediately. There is also an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every e-mail we send.
Stripe - Stripe handle payments on our website. We are not privy to your credit card or payment information as you make the payment directly with Stripe. Stripe will require certain information from you to prove your identity and complete the payment, but Hone is not able to see this. We receive a confirmation that the payment was successful as well as references to trace the payment if we need to issue refunds or handle other isses with payments such as fraud.
Squarespace - we host our website with Squarespace, and use their commercial tools to manage our orders which will include your shipping address, what you ordered, and the invoice details. These tools are important if you ever need to return your razor for instance, or require a warranty claim. We also use their website analytics tools which make use of cookies to track behavior on the site. We use this information to make our site easy to find and navigate. We also use their marketing tools to build mailing lists and pre-order information.
