Hi, I’m Andrew the founder of Hone and designer of the Type 15 razor. I run Hone single handed.

I am an Industrial Designer by training. I started Hone in 2015 to challenge myself to create my own company built on the values of craft, integrity, and quality.

The Hone100 ethos is my belief that I should only make and sell products that can provide many years of service. The number 100 reflects my ambition to create items that, with proper care, have the potential to endure for a century. This combination of ambition and boldness will drive me to be more innovative and foster careful decision making for every product choice I make.
